Heterogeneous photocatalysis is the result of an inextricable connection of several factors differently contributing to the overall process. Photon absorption is the “sine qua non” condition for the reaction to occur. In fact, photons can be considered as immaterial reactants, and all of the phenomena related to the interaction of light–matter play a prominent role. However, other factors contribute in a concerted way to address the reaction, so that the relative contribution of each of them is often difficult to evaluate. Modelling the Bullwhip Effect Dampening Practices in a Limited Capacity Production Network

This work infers on the conjoint adoption of collaboration practices and replenishment rules as bullwhip dampening techniques in a limited capacity production network. Continuous time differential equation methodology is adopted to model three supply chain configurations. Results show that theconditio sine qua non for long-term capacity strategy is the management and control of information asynchronies, provided by collaboration practices and ad-hoc decision policies. Furthermore the study reveals the phenomenon of bullwhip rough dampening.

Resumen: El presente trabajo parte de la hipótesis de que no es posible diseñar un régimen de protección internacional para las personas desplazadas por disrupciones medioambientales sin antes aclarar qué se entiende por “desplazado medioambiental” y cómo se ha llegado a tal entendimiento. Así, el artículo se estructura en dos partes.
